Questions and Tracking History
If you have questions or concerns about Northwood's COVID-19 response, please contact nucovidteam@2020gps.com. Historical student case, test and recovery numbers are available on request.
The Northwood University community successfully navigated the trials of the COVID-19 pandemic and remained operational and open for business. Our students, faculty, and staff exemplify the tenets in our Code of Ethics, and all rose to the occasion, demonstrating respect, empathy, integrity, and personal responsibility.
The health and well-being of our campus community are of utmost importance. Even though the pandemic is in our rear-view mirror, we continue to monitor the situation, assess COVID-19 protocols, and adjust when necessary. Our ongoing collaboration with the Midland County Health Department and adherence to directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Michigan Occupational Health and Human Safety Administration ensure we provide a safe environment for our community. For all off-campus sites, we continue to observe the guidelines and requirements of partners and their facilities based on local conditions.
While the Northwood campus community has not been immune from documented cases of COVID-19, we are pleased to report instances of infection to have had limited to no severity. However, we continue to encourage all students and visitors to our campus to practice good hygiene habits, which are important in preventing the spread of coronavirus and other infectious diseases.
Regular handwashing, with soap, for at least 20 seconds
Cover sneezes and coughs with a tissue or the inside of your elbow - never your hands
Make sure to get adequate sleep and reduce stress, as both affect your immune system
If you notice symptoms, or if your symptoms worsen, seek proper medical attention
We respect the personal choices of individuals concerning vaccination decisions and the use of facial coverings
We continue to ask students and staff to report via the Northwood health screening app should they test positive for COVID-19
Our current protocols continue to provide a healthy and safe campus community and support Northwood’s mission of developing free-enterprise leaders who drive global economic and social progress. Thank you for doing your part.
